Ozzfiesta 2015 Cancelled due to the Singer's Surgery

Ozzy Osbourne fans had been circling May 27-31 on their calendars for the first-ever Ozzfiesta, an extravagant Mexican getaway week that was to take place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico. But the event will not be happening this year, as Ozzy Osbourne is reportedly set to undergo surgery in May, leading to a conflict.

The event was scheduled to include performances not only by Osbourne, but also an individual acoustic set from Zakk Wylde as well as a full performance by Wylde’s band Black Label Society. Ozzfiesta was also going to include a number of parties, a charity golf tournament and a comedy club featuring such comedians as Jim Norton and That Metal Show‘s Jim Florentine performing.

A statement from Cool Breeze Concerts, the promoter of the Ozzfiesta extravaganza, reads as follows:

Cool Breeze Concerts regret to inform you that Ozzfiesta is cancelled.

Like you, we were very excited about the event. However, Ozzy is having surgery, scheduled for May, following his South American tour. He requires at least four weeks of recovery time. We are very disappointed that we need to cancel.

"Jangan khawatir guys, Zayn akan segera baik-baik saja. Semua stress yang ia dapatkan disebabkan oleh rumor yang ia dengar dan terima. Dan itu sangat menyakitkannya. Beberapa orang sepertinya terlalu berlebihan," ujarnya.

"Orang-orang perlu menyadari, bahwa kakakku juga manusia. Berhentilah membencinya karena dia tak melakukan apapun pada semua orang, kecuali membela dirinya sendiri dari anggapan orang yang sama sekali tidak benar," lanjutnya.

"Aku sangat mencintai kakakku, dan aku tak ingin kehilangannya. Sangat menyakitkan melihatnya bersedih seperti itu," ujarnya lagi.

"Tolong doakan kakakku, dan tolonglah dia karena aku tahu dia pasti baik-baik saja. Tolong berhentilah membencinya dan menyudutkannya atas apa yang telah ia lakukan," pungkasnya.

Metallica Co-Headlining Lollapalooza 2015

This year, Metallica, Paul McCartney and Florence + the Machine will headline Lollapalooza. The event is set to take place from July 31 to Aug. 2 in Chicago’s Grant Park.

Metallica will be performing Aug. 1 and are pumped for the upcoming gig. “It’s been nearly 20 years since we’ve been lucky enough to take the stage at Lollapalooza, so we are over the top that we’ve been asked to play this year at the now annual extravaganza held at Grant Park in Chicago. We’ll be hitting the stage on Saturday, August 1st,” the band writes.

Earlier this month, Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone that they hope to have some new material to play onstage in May during the Rock in Rio USA festival. So fans might be able to hear Metallica perform new songs in late July during their Lollapalooza set. As for the progress Metallica have made on their follow-up to 2008′s Death Magnetic, Ulrich says they already have a lot of songs created for the upcoming disc and that the “creative elements are getting close to being done.”

Three day passes for the fest are already sold-out, but single day tickets are still available. They go on-sale at Lollapalooza.com, starting at 10 A.M. local time today (March 25). Check out a full list the bands performing below.
